IS THE CAR RENTAL DEPOT ON-AIRPORT OR NOT?
Yes - hire cars are on site at all major airports in the UK and throughout the world.
Larger airports such as London Heathrow have courtesy coaches which run at 15 minute intervals from each terminal direct to the car rental depot.
WHAT IS THE SHORTEST TIME IN WHICH I CAN BOOK A VEHICLE BEFORE I TRAVEL?
For UK car hire reservations we would ask that you give us at least six hours notice for most cars and 48hrs for 7 seaters, minibuses etc. We may be able to operate down to two hours notice but this will require a telephone booking.
WHAT IF I FLY THE SAME DAY - CAN I STILL RENT A CAR?
We will try our very best to help you out. Call us and we will email you or the branch you are collecting your vehicle from.
WHAT IF I HAVE POINTS ON MY LICENCE - CAN I HIRE A VEHICLE?
There are many different endorsable offences; see list below and call us with additional queries.
Two speeding offences - OK to hire a vehicle through us
Three offences with the same code (ie 3 x speeding) - sorry, unable to hire a vehicle through us
DR10 drink driving offences - sorry, unable to hire a vehicle through us for at least 5 years
IN10 No insurance offences - sorry, unable to hire a vehicle through us for at least 5 years
I CANNOT FIND MY DRIVING LICENCE?
In many locations in UK it is possible to have a DVLA licence check carried as long as the driver has 3 forms of ID, one of which must be photo ID (i.e. passport) - these DVLA checks can only be operated when the DVLA office is open (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, Sat 9am-1pm, closed on Sundays).
Please check before booking whether the branch offers DVLA checking - this service is chargeable and paid locally to the branch concerned, usually about £5.00. All branches reserve the right to refuse
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM / MAXIMUM AGE TO RENT A CAR ONLINE?
You must be between 21 and 65 at the time of rental pick-up

ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS SURROUNDING YOUNG DRIVERS?
UK law states that a driver must be at least 21 years of age before he or she is eligible to rent any type of vehicle. Different classes of vehicle are available for rent to different age groups. Please call or email us for detailed information.
WHAT EXTRAS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN OUR ONLINE RENTAL QUOTATION?

HOW MUCH IS IT FOR AN ADDITIONAL DRIVER TO DRIVE A HIRED CAR?
Additional driver charges range from being free for cars at most UK rental depots up to between £2.50 to £.3.50 per additional driver for each vehicle booked. This is paid locally upon collection of your vehicle.
ARE THERE ANY EXTRA CHARGES FOR YOUNG DRIVERS?
All drivers under the age of 25 will incur additional fees.
There will be a young driver charge for 21 and 22 year olds and a charge for 23 and 24 included in your quotation.
Drivers under 25 are restricted to cars up to 1999cc and are not able to rent the "SA" or "P" large 7 seater, "DE" intermediate estates, "DA" intermediate auto groupss, or luxury, large estates or sports vehicles.
Young drivers may rent:
"A" small 3dr, "B" small 5dr, "C" compact 5dr, "D" intermediate 5 dr
"U" medium estate, "CA" compact automatic, "SP" small 7 seater
I REQUIRE A CHILD SEAT CAN I BOOK ONE AND HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Yes you can request a child seat at the appropriate stage of the booking process. Child seats are subject to availability but in our experience the rental company is fantastic at supplying them. The charge will be detailed as you make your request.
CAN I MAKE AMENDMENTS TO A RENTAL BOOKING?
Yes, telephone us or email quoting your reservation number and a new voucher will be emailed to you. There is not usually is charge for amendments.
I DO NOT HAVE A CREDIT CARD - CAN I HIRE A VEHICLE?
We readily accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express
Switch and Delta including Visa Delta are acceptable but may be subject to a local office Equifax credit check. This check can only be operate during normal office hours - please ensure you make your booking within office hours if wishing to pay by Switch or debit card
Solo and Visa Electron and Diners are not accepted at any rental branches. We also do not accept cash or cheques under any circumstances
HOW DO I FIND OUT HOW MUCH DEPOSIT I HAVE TO LEAVE WITH THE CAR RENTAL COMPANY?
Please be aware on the standard rental terms your credit card will have to be authorised for a £500 (usually - this amount will be confirmed as you book) excess in addition to the rental charges.
If this is an issue, you may take the option for "reduced/zero excess," which can be found during the quote process. Zero excess waives the need to present your credit card for the £500 deposit (in some circumstances this will be more, but it will be clearly detailed) and brings your liability for damage from £500 to zero. Note that this does not cover wilful or intentional damage.
CAN I TAKE A VEHICLE ABROAD - HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Yes, you can, as long as you return it to UK. Select the "One way rental" button; this will take you to our booking site where you may arrange overseas cover which will be an option on page 3 just below the "enter your age" option. The surcharge will be calculated into the rental charge automatically.
DO YOU OFFER ONE WAY RENTALS?
All one-way rentals must be returned to the UK. Select the "One way rental" button, which will take you to our booking site. Any additional charges for the one-way service will be calculated into the rental charge automatically.
WHAT IF MY FLIGHT IS DELAYED, WILL THE RENTAL COMPANY WAIT FOR ME AND WILL I BE CHARGED EXTRA?
We always ask for an incoming flight number in order to track your flight in case of delay. Your rental vehicle will be kept for you if your flight is delayed. Collection offices will only wait 1 hour after their scheduled closing time for delayed flights. Arrangements can usually be made for someone to meet you after hours but this will incur an extra charge paid locally at collection. If the office is not contacted, they will not wait.
HOW DO I MAKE A CANCELLATION?
To cancel a reservation you mut follow the instructions on your confirmation voucher. Please note that there may be a cancellation charge - full details are given at the point of booking.
